From the Southern to Northern Hemispheres on Holland America's ms Veendam

Welcome back to all the armchair travelers who will accompany me on an 18-day cruise from Santiago de Chile to Ft Lauderdale, FL, from 13 April-1 May, 2013.

I will leave Tuscon on Wednesday, 10 April, and fly overnight (through Atlanta) for an early morning arrival in Santiago on Thursday, where I have arranged for two nights at the Santiago Sheraton, with early check-in on the morning of my arrival.  After two days in Santiago, Holland America will provide transportation for the 2-1/2 hour drive to the Pacific port of Valparaiso.

I will be travelling alone on this trip (except for the other 1249 passengers on the ms Veendam).

But Will is going to join me on the next trip (starting 17 May 2013), which takes us to Montreal for a seven-day cruise through the Maritime Provinces down to Bar Harbor, Maine, and Boston.  From Boston we will Amtrak to New York City and then Richmond, VA, for a few days' visit in each place.   So look for new postings about that trip soon after I return from South America.
